I arrived around 6 PM, just in time to catch the vibrant ambiance as the evening unfolded. As soon as I walked in, I was enveloped by the warm and welcoming atmosphere that the restaurant exudes, making it the perfect spot for a hearty meal with friends or family.
Our visit was made even more delightful thanks to our attendant, Wairimu Mbugua. Her warm, patient demeanor truly stood out, and it was clear she genuinely enjoys her work. She greeted us with a smile that never faded, which instantly made us feel at home. A fellow diner even commented on how exceptional her customer service was, and I couldn't agree more. It's this personal touch that sets Afi apart, and it’s one of the reasons I’m eager to return.
When it came to the food, Afi did not disappoint. I started my meal with one of their renowned pork ribs. I must say, they were the best I’ve had in my life – cooked to perfection with a mouthwatering glaze that left me craving more. A fellow diner described the experience as “completely magical,” and I couldn’t help but echo that sentiment. The taste was authentic and felt freshly made, which is a testament to their commitment to quality ingredients.
Alongside those ribs, I couldn’t resist ordering a gin and tonic. Kanyara, the mixologist, crafted a drink that was expertly balanced—refreshing and delightful, making it an ideal accompaniment to my meal. I have to admit, the cocktails at Afi are just as impressive as the food.
