Recently, I had the pleasure of visiting Afi Steaks & Platters, located in the heart of Muthiga. As a steak lover, I had high expectations, and I’m thrilled to say that my experience surpassed them all!
Upon arrival, the warm and inviting atmosphere immediately caught my attention. The restaurant was buzzing with energy but also had a comfortable vibe, perfect for enjoying a meal with friends or family. I visited around 7 PM on a Saturday, and despite being busy, the service was commendable.
As I settled into my seat, I couldn’t resist ordering the renowned grilled steak along with a shared platter. The waiter, Allan, greeted me with a warm smile and took my order promptly. It was evident from his attitude that customer service is highly valued at Afi. I also want to give a shout-out to another fantastic waitress, Elizabeth, who was noted in several reviews for her welcoming demeanor.
When my food arrived, I was astounded. The grilled steak was perfectly cooked to my request and seasoned exquisitely, making it tender and flavorful. Alongside it, the shared platter was abundant, boasting an array of delicious meats that beckoned to be shared. With each bite, the carefully selected ingredients and expert preparation became evident. I definitely agree with the feedback from others who praised the quality of the food.
Although I heard a few murmurs about the chips masala not meeting everyone's expectations that evening, I must say the sides I enjoyed were delightful. Another customer mentioned that their version of the chips masala wasn’t quite what they adored, but my meal was fantastic overall! The minimal wait time for service added to the pleasant experience as I was quite hungry by then.
I was taken aback by how attentive the staff were, particularly Nancy, who had been mentioned multiple times in reviews as providing exceptional service. It’s refreshing to see a team that genuinely cares about their guests and strives to keep everyone happy.
One thing worth noting is that the restaurant can get quite packed, especially on weekends. Many reviewers, including myself, found it slightly challenging to find a table, but that’s a testament to how popular Afi is. Good food draws a crowd!
As I concluded my meal with a delightful dessert, I couldn’t help but plan my next visit. Afi Steaks & Platters is not just a place to eat; it’s a memorable experience marked by incredible food and outstanding service.
