Visiting Fresh Harvest has become one of my favorite experiences. Tucked away at QRWM+PF8, Thindigua Hwy, Thindigua, Kenya, this gem is a fruit lover's paradise. I wandered in after hearing great things about their selection and prices, and I must say, they lived up to the hype!
As I entered the store, the aroma of ripe, fresh fruits welcomed me. One of the standout features of Fresh Harvest is their commitment to sourcing fruits directly from local farmers and trusted suppliers. This ensures not only freshness but also supports the local community, which I find incredibly admirable.
On that particular visit around 10 AM, I was greeted by the friendly staff, including a vibrant attendant named Peter, who was incredibly knowledgeable about the various fruits available. He recommended I try the dragon fruit, which had received rave reviews for its unique taste and vibrant appearance. At just KES 200 per piece, it seemed like a steal!
As I checked out the exotic offerings, I couldn’t resist grabbing a couple of my all-time favorites: bananas and passion fruit. The bananas were priced at KES 120 for a bunch, and they were described by other customers as being creamy and incredibly sweet. The passion fruit, at just KES 150 for a pack of two, was said to be bursting with flavor, and I had to see it for myself.
When I finally made my selection, Peter’s enthusiasm made it even more special. He shared tips on how to pick the ripest fruits and how to enjoy them best. His genuine passion for fruits made the shopping experience delightful.
Once home, I tried the dragon fruit first. Its striking fuchsia color and unique texture were delightful. As I sliced it open, I was amazed by how fresh and juicy it was—perfect as a morning snack or a refreshing addition to a fruit salad!
The bananas were just as fantastic as promised—sweet, creamy, and bursting with flavor, making them ideal for my morning smoothie. Lastly, the passion fruit added an exotic twist to my usual breakfast. I loved its tangy flavor, which perfectly complemented the sweetness of the bananas.
I can’t stress enough how important it is to support local businesses like Fresh Harvest. Not only do they offer unbeatable prices and high-quality fruits, but I also felt a sense of community and connection with each visit. If you’re in the Thindigua area, do yourself a favor and stop by Fresh Harvest. You won’t regret it, and who knows? You might even meet Peter and get some fantastic recommendations!
