Job Summary


 

We are seeking a QA Engineering Intern to join our team and assist in kick starting our quality assurance processes. As a QA Engineering Intern, you will work closely with our engineering team to ensure the quality and reliability of our Android, iOS, and Web applications in three countries.


 

Responsibilities:


 

  1. Manual Testing: Perform manual testing on our applications, including Android, iOS, and Web platforms. Test existing features, identify bugs, and document findings using spreadsheets or QA documents.

 

  1. Test Case Creation: Create clear and comprehensive test cases based on requirements and user stories. Ensure proper coverage of various scenarios and edge cases.

 

  1. Regression Testing: Conduct regression testing on previously tested features after each new release or significant changes to ensure the stability and functionality of the applications.


 

  1. Collaborative Testing: Collaborate with the development team to understand the system architecture and identify potential areas of improvement. Participate in discussions to provide input on testing strategies and best practices.

 

  1. API Testing: Learn and perform basic API testing using tools like Postman and JMeter. Validate API responses, test critical endpoints, and document the results.
     
  2. Test Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and bug reports. Assist in migrating existing test documentation from spreadsheets to Jira.

 

  1. Jira Test Integration: Gain familiarity with Jira's test management features. Assist in integrating Jira for test case management, test execution tracking, and bug reporting.


 

  1. Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to quality assurance and testing methodologies. Actively seek opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in software testing.


 

Qualifications:


 

  1. Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  3. Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  4. Good written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Familiarity with mobile and web applications, preferably Android, iOS, and Web platforms.
  6. Basic understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
  7. Knowledge of API testing tools like Postman or JMeter is a plus.
  8. Experience with Jira or other test management tools is a plus.
  9. Any length of QA experience is a plus.


 

Duration: The internship will last for a period of 6 months with a chance of being full-time, with the option for a 3-month short-term internship for those still in school.
